Our commitment to quality is evident throughout the manufacturing process. In recognition of this, Art Forma has been awarded the prestigious 'Craft' Guild Mark from The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, an organisation that recognises the best furniture makers in the United Kingdom.

Frames. Any construction is only as good as its foundation. Art Forma's wooden frames are manufactured to the highest standards from seasoned hardwoods in the woodworking and frame making department within our own factory. Joints are doweled, screwed and glued with synthetic glue. All timbers are carefully selected and in certain areas, high quality laminated materials may be used.

Polishing. Our own polishing department allows us to offer a 'colour match to requirements' service on most of the showwood used to enhance any of our designs. Any standard colour match is available, giving a sense of continuity to furniture within your home.

Springs. High quality cone type coil spring seating and heat treated pocket spring seating is used in most of our models and coil type sprung back units in fixed back models. Heat treated pocket sprung seat cushion interiors are also offered as a mark of quality, giving a resilient and supportive sit. All springs are made by our associate company, Charles Blyth & Company.

Exclusive Fabrics. As a general rule, any fabric combination from our excusive fabric ranges may be used on any design. All fabrics are hand-cut and fully matched with all seams being double sewn, for extra strength. Should you be unable to find an Art Forma fabric, we also provide a Customers Own Material (COM) service.

Leathers. A large selection of stock leathers are subject to a rigorous selection process with each hide being carefully selected for each piece of furniture and cut by hand. Leather is a beautiful product when used correctly and its natural blemishes and imperfections will enhance the individuality of any piece of furniture.

Upholstery. Each piece of furniture is individually upholstered by highly skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. It takes many years of training to become an Art Forma upholsterer, and quality and workmanship is at the heart of our business.
